

He continued his education and basketball playing career at Knox College, and Sigel then spent six seasons as an assistant coach for Galesburg’s boys program. Sigel, who was induced into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2017, is a 1985 Rock Falls grad. He led the Rockets to a Class A state championship in 1999 and is one of only two boys basketball coaches in IHSA history to lead two different schools to state titles.
